Replying to a question related to getting pregnant and test tube baby

Question: Should I go for test tube baby?

“We have been trying for baby but not getting pregnant. What to do? How to know best time to get chance of success? And someone in my office mentioned test tube baby treatment, is it best for us?”

Answer: Consult a specialist for proper diagnosis

“It is important you track the menstruation cycle,  as ovulation time is best fertility period for a woman. Trying to conceive in these few days of the month, in the middle of the cycle, offers the best time to get pregnant. However, if you have already done this, it is recommended to consult a specialist. Discuss your family history and share personal health reports. The doctor may recommend certain tests, like hormone profiling, tests for sperm count, urine tests, abdomen scans, CT-scan to investigate the root cause and may recommend medication, counselling, minor surgeries or treatments.”

Best Time For Getting Pregnant

The best time to get pregnant. You’re most likely toget pregnant if you have sex within a day or so of ovulation (releasing an egg from the ovary). This is usually about 14 days after the first day of your last period, if your cycle is around 28 days long. An egg lives for about 12-24 hours after being released. Source: nhs.uk
