Replying to a question on  pregnancy symptoms and multiple miscarriages…

Question: Little desperate for my one last rainbow baby

“Hoping you can help,  I am 41 years old just suffered my 2nd miscarriage. The first one 13 years ago at 4 months pregnant,  and this past July 2018. I had 4 children thst were premature. During those I would go into labor every 2 months and was apparently diagnosed incorrectly with incompetent cervix.  I found during my miscarriage last year I had a large fibroid which was removed and that’s when I was told I actually have a bicornuate uterus,  confused as to how I went through 4 high risk pregnancies where I had several ultrasounds and that was missed. Currently I am 16 dpo and I have been having every pregnancy symptom in the book.  3 days ago I had started bleeding ( a day early) but the bleeding was very dark brown and light enough to only fill a panty liner the whole day,  went to bed woke up and no blood, but all through day 2 only dark spotting when I wipe but when I went to bed unbelievable cramps that kept me awake. Today, day 3 brown spotting cramping but also a sharp pinpoint of pain in one area.  I went to use the bathroom and there were tiny sticky clots when I wiped with a tiny bit of bright red blood.  The pregnancy symptoms I’ve had are constant gas,  headache, mild cramping, back ache, hot flashes, nausea, weird taste in my mouth, frequent urination, irritability, mood swings and the most painful breasts ever, which I never get during PMS,  yet I keep getting negative home pregnancy tests. I know it’s very early but I’m concerned and honestly a little desperate for my one last rainbow baby and I’m so confused by what’s going on in my body.  I’m experiencing a lot of pain and afraid I’m miscarrying.”

Answer: Recommend some tests…

“I am not sure about the outcome of this pregnancy. I doubt there isn’t any pregnancy. Please get a serum beta hcg done and it’ll explain quite a few questions. Also since you are 41, please get a amh done for ovarian reserve. If not satisfactory and, also bicornuate uterus with bad obstetrics history, we may have to think of third party options.”
