From Mother of Kimaya:

“Every women feels accomplished once she gives birth to a new life….this is a truth of every Indian family/home. I think I was actually born to become a mother!

After 5 years of marriage when i was extremely  desperate to have a child is when me and my husband thought of consulting a Gynaec. Living in Mumbai and working in this city made our lifestyles very very prone to almost all the complexities that couples these days face. After consulting many doctors in Mumbai, and not getting any satisfying result I headed to Nasik, as it is my hometown and my parents and family still live there.

After discussing our concerns with my parents my father decided that we should meet Dr. Samir Pawar from AKPI institute who also happens to his close acquaintance. Initially i was a little skeptical as i was extremely tired of all the trials that doctors in Mumbai had made on us, but yet i felt like giving it a try.

Our first meeting with Dr. Samir made me feel that i was in extremely safe and experienced hands. I did not feel i was meeting  a senior doctor, rather i felt like i was discussing my concerns with someone who was genuinely interested in making me a parent. After a couple of meetings and tests we concluded that IVF was the only workable option in our case. Dr. Samir and Dr. Aparna along with the entire AKPI staff made our journey extremely easy and comforting. With the second attempt my pregnancy tests were positive.

I was on cloud nine and extremely contented. As i lived in Mumbai i decided to consult a local Gynac for my initial terms of pregnancy and only go back to Dr. Samir for my delivery.  But fate had something else in store for me. In my 5th month when i had gone to Nasik and decided to meet Samir for a routine check up, i was horrified to know that my bag has opened and my pregnancy was at a high risk. In this critical phase Dr. Samir once again proved his expertise and saved my pregnancy. I literally can say that i witnessed a divine intervention disguised as Dr. Samir who saved me and my baby at that point.

I delivered a pre term baby at AKPI hospital and that too after a lot of effort by Dr. Samir and Dr. Aparna. They stood by me rock solid and said that chances of survival for the baby are 40 per cent but we are sure together we will make it 100.

After my baby girl was born and was shifted to NICU, it was Dr. Samir’s guidance which helped us land in the very safe and extremely proficient hands of Doctors who made sure that our little angel fought every battle and came out of the NICU after 3 long months.

I truly believed that me giving birth was nothing short than a miracle and hence named our daughter “Kimaya”. For me i have seen God – and that’s Dr. Samir who not only fulfilled my dream of becoming a mother but also stood by me and family during our bad days.
